The Celebrating Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of our staff, volunteers, and fundraisers and are now a key annual event in the trust calendar.

It has been a very difficult and challenging year for staff working across the organisation and this has been reinforced through the findings of the CQC report, staff survey and recent roadshows and focus groups.

While action is being taken to put things right quickly, we also know that behind the headlines, our staff continue to do incredible things in their day-to-day work.

This year, more than ever, it’s important we capture that to give people an opportunity to reflect – and remember - some the things we are doing well by highlighting some of the excellent work happening across Newcastle Hospitals.

The awards are all about recognising those who - despite our current challenges – still go over and above to support our patients and each other.

This is a night of people coming together to share their achievements, for us to say thank you and to help build some of the pride back into our organisation.
